On Julius Peppers and Calvin Johnson

DETROIT -- Two important second-quarter notes from Ford Field:

  1. Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers has left the game with a knee injury. His return is officially listed as questionable, but ESPN's Suzy Kolber reported the injury could be significant.

  2. Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson's 73-yard touchdown pass made him the first player in NFL history to catch nine touchdown passes in the first five games of the season.
