Minnesota moved up one spot this week in ESPN.com’s Power Rankings, but I think it’s fair to say there remains a wide gap among our voters on how good the Vikings are. To wit: John Clayton ranks them No. 3 overall, while Paul Kuharsky has them at No. 13.
There appears to be no such confusion about Green Bay, who like the Vikings, opened this season with a victory. All four voters put them a range between No. 9 and No. 11.
Here’s a breakdown of how the voters saw our fine division this week:
No. 8: Minnesota Vikings
Comment: Taking care of business at Cleveland nets a one-spot gain.
No. 11: Green Bay Packers
Comment: Holding steady after a thrilling victory.
No. 15: Chicago Bears
Comment: Bears slide one position for every interception Jay Cutler threw Sunday night.
No. 31: Detroit Lions
Comment: Lions escape the cellar thanks to the St. Louis Rams
