The biggest injury question of our Thanksgiving Feast week is only slightly closer to being answered. Green Bay Packers running back James Starks (knee/ankle) participated in practice for a second consecutive day Wednesday, but the Packers will list him as questionable on their injury report and won't make a final decision until Thursday morning.
Normally you can glean some insight from the fact that an injured player made it through the practice week. But this week's shortened schedule required a dramatic pullback of practices, and coach Mike McCarthy called Wednesday's workout "pretty much an up-tempo walk-through." So I'm even less certain about what "questionable" means this week as I usually am. (How's that for deep insight?)
With the exception of left tackle Chad Clifton (hamstring), all other Packers players will be available for Thursday's game. The Lions have no injury concerns among their starters, other than tailback Jahvid Best (concussion), but they have not yet released their injury report. We'll let you know later Wednesday if it contains any surprises.
