Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback Christian Ponder probably played the worst game of his short career last week, throwing three interceptions in a 27-21 loss to the Oakland Raiders. But Ponder has earned the respect of at least one NFL observer.
In his weekly Rookie Watch feature, Matt Williamson of Scouts Inc. wrote that the Vikings have found their long-term answer at quarterback and added: "Ponder is smart and decisive. He gets the ball out quickly and throws a very catchable ball. He is light on his feet and a very good athlete."
Along those lines, the Sports Science video below shows how and why Ponder is an accurate thrower on the move -- at least when he isn't facing a pass rush. These videos are fun and interesting, as we've seen in previous versions on Green Bay Packers receiver Greg Jennings and Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson, among others.
