It's been a few days since we updated our running list of NFC North players who will either play in the Pro Bowl or have pulled out due to injuries or, perhaps, disinterest. Thursday, we got a new development : The Chicago Bears announced that tailback Matt Forte has passed a physical and has been cleared to play in the Jan. 29 game. That would be nearly two months between on-field action for Forte, who sprained his knee Dec. 4 and missed the remainder of the regular season.
Forte is a pending free agent and thus has no protection should he be injured in the Pro Bowl. If I were him, I might give Lloyd's of London a call. Hawaii is nice this time of year, but still....
