Thursday injury report

Chicago Bears: Defensive end Alex Brown (ankle) and linebacker Lance Briggs (foot) returned to practice. Hunter Hillenmeyer (rib) didn’t practice but we already knew that Nick Roach is likely to start in his place at middle linebacker.

Detroit Lions: Tailback Kevin Smith (shoulder) returned to practice on a limited basis. Defensive linemen Sammie Lee Hill (ankle) and Dewayne White (hamstring) both sat out practice a second consecutive day, making them unlikely to play Sunday against the Bears.

Green Bay Packers: Left tackle Chad Clifton (ankle), defensive end Cullen Jenkins (groin) and cornerback Charles Woodson (foot) all sat out practice Thursday. It’s not looking good for Clifton to play Monday night against Minnesota, meaning Daryn Colledge will once again start at left tackle. Coach Mike McCarthy said Woodson is likely to play. I’m guessing the same is true for Jenkins.

Minnesota Vikings: We noted earlier that quarterback Brett Favre (foot) appeared on the injury report. Left guard Steve Hutchinson (back) sat out of practice, as did receiver Darius Reynaud (hamstring). The Vikings would have a huge hole to fill if Hutchinson can’t play, but I’m guessing he’ll make it.
