There was no drama in deciding game coverage this week: The NFL schedule gods afforded us the opportunity to see all four NFC North teams in a 36-hour period.
That’s right. Sunday afternoon, I’ll be at Soldier Field to chronicle Detroit’s matchup with Chicago. And by late Monday afternoon, I plan to be in place at the Metrodome for "Monday Night Football." Look for all the usual bells and whistles from both games.
I’m sure some of you think I’m just throwing half the division a bone by covering Lions-Bears. But trust me: I’m not that motivated to make you happy.
Seriously, I just think it’s going to be a really cool experience to cover both games. I look forward to the added perspective I’ll have when it’s all said and done early Tuesday morning. What a great way to close out the first quarter of the 2009 season.
