There was a time, not too long ago, when you were pretty much guaranteed to see one fight, or at least at skirmish, if you covered an NFL offseason practice. Some players were literally fighting for jobs, others were hoping to avoid injury and some were counting the minutes until summer vacation.

It was an obvious cauldron for flared tempers, and it's one of several casualties of the NFL's newer, softer and shorter offseason requirements.
