I've been trying to tell you guys and gals: Percy Harvin is unpredictable even in the context of diva NFL receivers. So it should come as no surprise to you that Harvin is back at the Minnesota Vikings' practice facility Thursday morning, about 18 hours after bolting the team's mandatory minicamp amid reports of a trade request.
Coach Leslie Frazier told KFAN-100.3 FM that Harvin had returned and would be a part of the Vikings' final offseason practice, scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. ET. It's not clear how much he'll participate given ongoing rehabilitation from shoulder surgery, but his presence indicates that cooler heads have prevailed -- for the moment -- in a confrontation Harvin unexpectedly generated this week.
We'll let you know if either Harvin or Frazier sheds any light on what was behind this week's theatrics, and whether Harvin's return Thursday means he is no longer considering a training camp holdout. I would say that all's well that ends well, but if this week is any indication, we can't say for sure that this drama has ended.
