MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota and Baltimore are going back and forth here in the fourth quarter, but all eyes are on Vikings tailback Adrian Peterson as he sits on the bench following what appeared to be a left ankle injury.
Peterson put the Vikings in scoring position with a 58-yard run down the left sideline. But three plays later, his left foot got caught underneath Ravens linebacker Dannell Ellerbe during a failed third-down play.
Peterson needed help leaving the field from right guard Anthony Herrera. It doesn’t appear too serious, but I’ll keep you updated. UPDATE: Peterson has returned to the game but we'll see how effective he is.
As we type this, the Vikings are clinging to a 30-24 lead. We’ll settle in and watch the final 5:12 and be back with you immediately after the game.
