For those of you who might have missed it on Thanksgiving morning, I wanted to pass along a link to the CBS video feature on former Detroit Lions running back Jerome Harrison's recovery from a stunning turn of events last year.
As you might recall, the Lions traded Harrison to the Philadelphia Eagles in October 2011. During a routine physical to finalize the trade, doctors found a tumor growing on Harrison's brain stem. The trade was rescinded, and that's about all we knew about Harrison's condition until he spoke with CBS.
According to the report, Harrison suffered a stroke after the surgery and was officially declared a parapalegic. He needed help breathing, ate through a feeding tube and is only recently getting back on his feet.
