The Baltimore Ravens' Super Bowl championship means they will host the NFL's annual kickoff game in early September. That means there is at least a chance that an NFC North team will be the opponent.
For us, the 2013 schedule will include matchups against the AFC North and NFC East. I posted our full list of opponents last month, and it's worth noting that the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings will both play at the Ravens.
The NFL hasn't scheduled many out-of-conference kickoff games, seemingly reducing the chances that it selects the Packers or Vikings for the 2013 affair. It's happened twice since the event began in 2002: the Jets and Washington Redskins in 2003 and the New Orleans Saints-Indianapolis Colts opener in 2007.
The earliest we'll know the Ravens' opponent is in late March at the NFL owners meeting. The full schedule is usually announced by mid-April.
