So the Minnesota Vikings posted a tight-shot preview of their new jerseys Friday morning, and knowing how much interest there has been in this subject, I wanted to post the photograph on the blog as soon as we had permission to do so.
What you see is, according to Vikings.com, "the spot below the collar but above the numbers on the front of the jersey."
I'm far from a sartorial expert, but the shade of purple looks darker to me than the current uniforms and closer to what the team used in the 1970's and earlier. There also doesn't appear to be a gold collar around the neck, but I guess we can't be sure about that.
Anyway, as we've discussed, the uniforms will be unveiled fully on April 25, the first day of the draft. You'll have to hold your breath until then.
