So in case you missed it Wednesday night, we learned there is now a 50 percent chance of an NFC North player adorning the "Madden" cover for a second consecutive year.
Detroit Lions Hall of Fame tailback Barry Sanders and Minnesota Vikings tailback Adrian Peterson have both advanced to the semifinals of SportsNation's "Madden 25" cover vote. Sanders is pitted against Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice, and Peterson against Houston Texans tailback Arian Foster, to reach the finals.
Sanders received more votes than Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana to advance. Via Twitter, Sanders said:

To which Rice replied:
— Jerry Rice (@JerryRice) April 11, 2013
In the video, Sanders laughed and said: "I don't like my chances" but added: "If you can beat Joe Montana, you never know what could happen."
Peterson, meanwhile, defeated Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III to advance. The semifinals will end next Wednesday and the cover will be announced April 24.
