Catching up on Thursday’s news:
Chicago Bears: Receiver Devin Hester (ankle) missed his second day of practice. If he’s going to play Sunday against Arizona, Hester is probably going to need to practice Friday. It’s expected that will happen. ... Safety Danieal Manning (back) was added to the injury report and was limited in practice.
Detroit Lions: Running back Kevin Smith (shoulder) and receiver Calvin Johnson (knee) both practiced on a limited basis. Smith is on track to play Sunday at Seattle, but it seems likely that Maurice Morris will get at least some carries regardless.
Green Bay Packers: Veterans Mark Tauscher and Chad Clifton again took most of the first-team repetitions at the tackle positions. There’s no reason to think they won’t start Sunday at Tampa Bay. ... Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (feet) should return to practice Friday. ... Wide receiver Donald Driver (neck) missed a second consecutive day of practice. His availability should be more clear Friday. ... Tight end Jermichael Finley (knee) and center Jason Spitz (back) also missed practice.
