Good morning and ROOOOOAAARRR!!!!
As you probably know by now, Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson is out for a while after breaking both bones in his left forearm in a single-car crash early Tuesday morning.
Burleson's injury costs Detroit one of its most productive receivers and a valued locker-room voice for at least a little while, until Burleson feels well enough to be around again. No doubt it is a difficult blow for the Lions offense.
Players told the Detroit Free Press the injury makes for a big loss; the newspaper has raw video of the accident scene. Free Press columnist Drew Sharp is calling this the latest instance of Lions luck, but the injury doesn't appear it will end Burleson's season.
And now a look at non-Burleson Lions links from around the Interwebs:
Meanwhile, Kyle Meinke of MLive wrote, Chad Johnson tweeted that he'd be open to trying out for the Lions.
Justin Rogers of MLive looks at Matthew Stafford's touchdown passes Sunday.
John Niyo from the Detroit News writes that rookie Ziggy Ansah is fitting in better than expected.
Colleague Josh Weinfuss caught up with Arizona offensive lineman Eric Winston, who was hit by a Ndamukong Suh elbow a couple of weeks ago. He downplayed it.
