Practice report: Calvin Johnson returns

October, 10, 2013
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson returned to practice Thursday, working with the wide receivers during the individual portion of drills the media was allowed to watch.

Johnson missed Sunday's game against Green Bay with a knee injury, and also missed practice Wednesday. Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz said Wednesday that a decision on Johnson's availability for Sunday against Cleveland could go down to Sunday morning.

Safety Louis Delmas and cornerback Chris Houston also returned to practice Thursday. Receiver Nate Burleson, who will be out of games for at least a little while longer, was out there with his tennis balls doing work but doesn't have a helmet, so won't practice any more than running.

Theo Riddick (concussion), Tony Scheffler (concussion), Jason Fox (knee) and Ashlee Palmer were not out at practice. Palmer typically does not practice Thursdays.
