ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- As expected, Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was limited in practice Thursday. So, too, were three other starters: safeties Louis Delmas (knee) and Glover Quin (ankle) and cornerback Chris Houston (hamstring).

Five players were held out of Thursday's practice: right tackle Jason Fox (knee), running back Theo Riddick (concussion), tight end Tony Scheffler (concussion), linebacker Ashlee Palmer (ankle) and wide receiver Nate Burleson (forearm).

Burleson is out for Sunday's game, but most of the other players shouldn't be an issue, including Delmas, Quin and Palmer. Houston played last Sunday, so as long as the hamstring hasn't gotten worse, he should be good to go, too.

We've covered Johnson's situation and what the contingencies are. Will also be writing more on Scheffler later today.
