Make sure you check out Thursday's Hot Read over on the NFL page. (And not just because of its award-winning celebrity byline.)
With Halloween on the horizon, we thought it would be interesting to know what some of the baddest NFL players are afraid of. We kept it focused on football -- although I guess it would have been funny to know who is afraid of mice -- and got some imaginative answers.
I wanted to share with you one nugget that didn't make it into the story. Minnesota tailback Adrian Peterson produced his own personal on-field nightmare, which included a tribute the late Sean Taylor:
"The biggest nightmare I could imagine as a running back is having a draw play called and -- just as you take the ball -- looking up and seeing Pat Williams and Kevin Williams coming straight at you with no crease between them. Then, closing off the cutback lanes are Ray Lewis and E.J. Henderson. To top it off there's Sean Taylor playing over the top to finish off the play. That's the kind of thing that will wake you up at night."
