Chilly but hardly frigid at Soldier Field

CHICAGO -- For those keeping track, the temperature at Soldier Field was 28 degrees about an hour before kickoff. Winds were out of the northwest at 14 miles per hour.

Forecasts are calling for temperatures to stay above 20 degrees tonight, so we’ve got that going for us. UPDATE: It was 26 degrees for the opening kickoff.

We all know Minnesota quarterback Brett Favre hasn’t been the best cold-weather quarterback of late. During pregame warmups, he was wearing sleeves and had a hand warmer strapped around his waist. He was not wearing gloves.

Neither am I, but of course I’m in the press box. It’s about 70 degrees in here. Let’s have a fun game.
