MINNEAPOLIS -- Could Sunday night be the final regular season game for the Williams Wall?
We could know the answer early this week. There have been multiple reports, most recently from FoxSports.com, suggesting the NFL could rule on the appeal of Kevin Williams and Pat Williams early this week. The Vikings' defensive tackles were originally suspended four games after testing positive for a banned substance; if upheld, both players will be ineligible for the final four regular season games.
The NFL is under no official timetable in this situation, which is unusual for the way it's played out in public. So there's no way to know with 100 percent certainty when -- or if -- the NFL will rule. One thing we do know is that the NFL usually releases its rulings early in the week to give teams as much notice as possible if it stands to lose a player for the next game.
So, stay tuned.
