Bears return to original QB depth chart
By Kevin Seifert
As we restore order here at NFC North blog headquarters, I just wanted to make sure everyone knows the Chicago Bears have apparently done the same with their quarterbacks.
As expected, Jay Cutler (concussion) has been cleared to practice fully this week and is on track to start Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, according to Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network. ESPNChicago.com reports he'll be backed up by Caleb Hanie, while Todd Collins serves as the No. 3 quarterback following a four-interception performance Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
It all makes perfect sense to me. Hanie was on track to back up Cutler until he was sidelined by a preseason injury. Collins was an emergency measure, and the Bears are no longer in that situation.
