Aaron Rodgers: 'I'm baaaaaaacckkkk'

By Kevin Seifert

Here's an early Christmas present for the Green Bay Packers: Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (concussion) has been cleared to play in Sunday's must-win game against the New York Giants.

Rodgers missed his first start in three years last Sunday, but he told Jason Wilde of ESPNMilwaukee.com that he has passed all required tests under the NFL's new concussion guidelines. (Apparently his actual quote was, "I'm baaaaaaacckkkk." I always thought it was spelled with four "a's", three "c's" and two "k's", but I trust Rodgers, who attended Cal-Berkeley, and Wilde, who has spell-check.)

As Wilde points out, the news was expected but not a forgone conclusion considering Rodgers has suffered two concussions in the span of 10 weeks this season. But if all goes as expected, Rodgers will once again take the first-team repetitions when the Packers resume practice Wednesday.
