Favre discipline imminent as season ends
By Kevin Seifert
Resolution appears imminent in the NFL's long and winding investigation into allegations against Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the league will announce some form of discipline this week against Favre in connection to allegations that he sent inappropriate text messages and photographs to a former New York Jets sideline reporter in 2008.
I'll have a few things to say after the league makes its announcement. Favre appears to have one game remaining in his NFL career, and it's unclear whether he'll be cleared medically to play in it. The Vikings will close out their season Sunday against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
