XLV: B.J. Raji saves the world
By Kevin Seifert
Green Bay Packers nose tackle B.J. Raji had an active week, at least on the NFC North blog.
On Tuesday, we suggested his recent play and emerging personality had positioned him as a budding star of the buildup to Super Bowl XLV. We set up a poll to determine an appropriate nickname -- "The Freezer" won out -- and watched faculty members and students at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay get their Raji (dance) on.
In the video below, ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer nominates Raji as "maybe the most dominant defensive player" in the NFL over the second half of the season. Raji's play helped the Packers navigate multiple injuries to their linebacker corps, Dilfer says.
