Ponder hoping to organize Vikings drills
By Kevin Seifert
In an appearance on ESPN Radio, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder said he is working on plans to organize passing drills with his new teammates in the Tampa area over the next few weeks.
"I'm talking to a lot of guys," Ponder said on The Herd. "We're setting up practices over the next couple of weeks to go over stuff and put in some work. I know a lot of other teams have already gotten started. We're kind of behind the eight ball but I'm doing everything I can to prepare myself. My mindset is that I want to start by Week 1."
Meanwhile, for those of you who welcomed Ponder's arrival in the Twin Cities primarily because of Internet reports about his model girlfriend, it might be time to re-evaluate. Ponder said the couple broke up a few days before those reports surfaced. Such is life.
