Chicago Bears: Tailback Adrian Peterson (knee) and linebacker Hunter Hillenmyer (ribs) sat out practice again. But defensive lineman Israel Idonije (knee) returned to practice in a limited capacity. … Defensive end Adewale Ogunleye was fined $5,000 for a horsecollar tackle on Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford, who suffered a dislocated kneecap on the play. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times has the story.
Detroit Lions: Stafford and receiver Calvin Johnson (knee) did not practice Thursday. The Lions listed Stafford as a limited practice participant Wednesday, but Tom Kowalski of Mlive.com wonders if that was just a ploy to confuse Green Bay in preparation for Sunday’s game at Lambeau Field. You know me. I’m all about conspiracy theories. Fullback Jerome Felton (shoulder) and tight end Casey FitzSimmons (thigh) both returned to practice on a limited basis.
Green Bay Packers: Offensive linemen Jason Spitz (back) and Scott Wells (hamstring) were both limited in practice, but coach Mike McCarthy said he did not believe either injury was serious. Left tackle Chad Clifton (ankle) and linebacker Brady Poppinga (illness) both practiced in full Thursday.
Minnesota Vikings: Receiver Percy Harvin (shoulder) returned to practice but was a limited participant. … Offensive lineman Artis Hicks was fined $5,000 for the late shove of St. Louis defensive tackle Gary Gibson that we discussed here. Hicks wasn’t penalized, but Gibson suffered a season-ending leg injury on the play. Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press has the story.
