BBAO: Devin Hester primed for return

By Kevin Seifert

We're Black and Blue All Over:

Chicago Bears receiver/kick returner Devin Hester didn't practice Thursday because of a quadriceps injury, but he intends to play -- and make an impact -- in Monday night's game against the Detroit Lions.

As Jesse Rogers of writes, it's been 11 months since Hester returned a kick for a touchdown. Earlier this season, the Lions became the first team in NFL history to allow punt and kickoff returns for touchdowns in consecutive games. Hester had an 82-yard punt return for a touchdown against them last season.

"This is a team we see some opportunities there," Hester said. "At the same time we have to be patient."

Hester has eight scoring returns in prime-time games in his career.
