Jay Cutler stays in the game
By Kevin Seifert
CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler emerged late from the locker room at the end of halftime. He took a few warm-up throws and returned to play with what ESPN's Lisa Salters reported was bruised ribs stemming from a second-quarter sack by Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
In two possessions, however, the Bears have netted one first down. Cutler threw short on his first pass and his timing has appeared a bit off ever since.
The Bears did add to their lead after Stefan Logan's muffed punt put them in position for a Robbie Gould field goal. The Bears lead 13-0 with 11 minutes, 20 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
