Matthew Stafford finds Calvin Johnson
By Kevin Seifert
DETROIT -- The Green Bay Packers have intercepted Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford twice and defensed a half-dozen other passes, depending on how tough of a grader you are. But a risky and ultimately failed attempt at a third interception just helped the Lions take a lead here at Ford Field.
Safety Morgan Burnett stepped in front of receiver Calvin Johnson but missed Stafford's throw at the 3-yard line. Johnson snatched it out of the air, turned, and scored on a 25-yard play. The Lions now lead 17-14 with two minutes, 56 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Earlier, Stafford missed Johnson on two potential scoring plays. This time, they connected.
