Packers play it safe with Randall Cobb
By Kevin Seifert
MINNEAPOLIS -- To little surprise, the Green Bay Packers have decided to play it safe with receiver/returner Randall Cobb. He won't play Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, giving him at least one more week, and possibly two, to rest his sprained ankle.
The Packers will have receiver Jordy Nelson back, however. Nelson is ready to play after missing three games because of a hamstring injury, and he'll join Greg Jennings and James Jones to give the Packers a formidable group of receivers despite Cobb's absence. Veteran Donald Driver is inactive for this game as well.
It's expected that Jeremy Ross will replace Cobb in the return game.
