AP All-Pro team: Six 49ers, no Packers
By Kevin Seifert
SAN FRANCISCO -- Good morning on a beautifully sunny day here. I'm rushing to the hotel lobby to meet our frantic NFC West blogger, Mike Sando, and dash over to Candlestick Park. You never know what pregame traffic is going to be like. Only seven hours and 41 minutes to go!
A sun-filled view of the San Francisco Bay on this gorgeous Saturday morning.
In the brief interim, here is the newest angle I can bring you on the Green Bay Packers' divisional playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers: The Packers are playing the team with the NFL's highest number of All-Pro players.
That's right, the Associated Press placed six 49ers on the first team, which is generally considered the highest of the NFL's postseason team honors. No Packers players were among the five NFC North representatives; quarterback Aaron Rodgers and linebacker Clay Matthews made the second team.
