The future of the Bears' no-huddle

Should the Chicago Bears make the no-huddle a permanent part of their offense?

That's a question many fans are asking after watching quarterback Kyle Orton light up Philadelphia for three touchdown passes in the first half Sunday night against Philadelphia. The Eagles caught up at halftime and slowed down the Bears considerably in the second half, but the first-half scoring proved all the Bears needed in a 24-20 victory.

Offensive coordinator Ron Turner was noncommittal about the future of the no-huddle after the game, but admitted: "It gives us a chance to go up-tempo."

It's doubtful the Bears will use the no-huddle in every game this season. But the mere threat of it will alter the way defenses prepare for them, and using it in the right circumstances could give the Bears a few quick scores.
