Concussion for Vikings' Seth Olsen

By Ben Goessling

Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Seth Olsen, who was carted off the field in the second quarter of the team's exhibition game against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night, sustained a concussion. He was walking around the Vikings' locker room after the game.

Olsen went low to block Titans linebacker Scott Solomon and took a knee to the head. Vikings trainers quickly attended to him as he lay face-down on the field, and Olsen was able to move his hands and acknowledge the crowd as he was carted off. By the end of the game, he was in street clothes and walking up the tunnel with the team.

"When those moments come, when they bring that stretcher out, you have no idea what's going on," coach Leslie Frazier said. "We were all just hoping for the best, and fortunately, things worked out that way."

Olsen, who is fighting for one of the Vikings' final roster spots in his second stint with the team, will have to clear NFL concussion protocol before he is able to return to action. He will find out this weekend if his next steps will be with the Vikings or another team.
