Locker Room Buzz: Green Bay Packers
By Rob Demovsky
Observed in the locker room after the Green Bay Packers’ 38-20 victory over the Washington Redskins:
Working out the kinks: In between questions at his postgame news conference, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers could be seen trying to loosen up his neck by rolling his head around. He said he woke up with a stiff neck after spending Saturday night at the team hotel. “It’s not the hotel’s fault,” said Rodgers, who matched a franchise record with 480 yards passing.
Photo op: Just before Rodgers headed to his postgame news conference, he pulled out his phone and took a picture of several players being interviewed nearby at their lockers.
Pat on the back: Asked about his block on running back James Starks’ 32-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, left guard Josh Sitton said: “I had a great block. I should get all the credit for that.”
Colorful character: Tight end Jermichael Finley looked like he was wearing the same bright reddish-colored pants he did after last week’s loss at San Francisco. “Same color, but not the same pants,” Finley said. “I don’t think I’d wear the same thing.” When asked to describe the color, Finley said: “I don’t even know what color they are; it’s like pinkish-reddish.”
