Morning Roar: Suh appeal scheduled

By Michael Rothstein

Good morning and ROOOOAAARRR!!!!!

Ndamukong Suh's latest personal-foul dustup appears to be drawing closer to a conclusion.

Colleague Dan Graziano reported Monday that Suh's appeal will be heard Tuesday. He is appealing the $100,000 fine levied by the NFL as excessive.

The more interesting part of this is the revelation of one of the reasons why NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith reached out to Suh last week. Beyond the typical offer of assisting in an appeals process, the source told Graziano that Smith wanted to explain to Suh that it is responsibility of all players to watch out for each other's health.

Or in other words: Be smart about what you're doing out on the field.

The thing about this with Suh, though, is that this latest transgression is overshadowing a good start to the season for the defensive tackle. He has three quarterback hurries -- resulting in two DeAndre Levy interceptions -- has a pass defended and has been a pain for opposing interior offensive linemen.

And now, your look around the Interwebs in search of news on the Lions:
