Aaron Rodgers wins weekly honor again
By Rob Demovsky
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- When you throw for 480 yards in a game, some accolades are bound to come your way.
So it should not have been a surprise that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named the NFC’s offensive player of the week on Wednesday. Rodgers tied the franchise record for passing yards in a game while completing 34 of 42 passes and throwing four touchdowns in Sunday’s 38-20 win over the Washington Redskins.
But Rodgers has proved that he doesn’t have to set or tie club records to win this award. Since Week 13 of the 2010 season, Rodgers has won this weekly award eight times, the most of any player in the NFL during that span.
