Packers' players celebrate Lions' loss

By Rob Demovsky

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers knew they needed help to get into the playoffs.

They got it on Monday night, when the Baltimore Ravens beat the Detroit Lions on kicker Justin Tucker's 61-yard field goal in the game’s final minute.

Why was that so important for the Packers?

The loss dropped the Lions (7-7) into third place in the NFC North. That put control of the division title in the hands of the Chicago Bears (8-6) and the Green Bay Packers (7-6-1), who play each other on the final day of the regular season. If either one wins out, it wins the division.

The Packers still have their own business to take care of, beginning with Sunday's penultimate regular-season game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lambeau Field.

But as soon as the Ravens’ 18-16 victory went final, several Packers’ players took to Twitter.
