ATLANTA -- Should have added "windy" to our meaningless pregame weather report from the Georgia Dome. It was amusing Sunday morning to see police barriers, put in place to close certain areas around the stadium, sliding across the intersection. Someone needs to add a few more pounds of sand.
Winds are gusting at 25 miles per hour in Atlanta, which would have made a significant impact on this game were there not a Teflon roof on this stadium.
Another observation that might be interesting only to me: There is a Bobby Brown Parkway here in Atlanta. Turned onto it by accident after leaving the hotel. I hope I'm not being historically ignorant by assuming it's a reference to the 1980's entertainer and 2000's reality show star. If I'm wrong, let me know.
We'll be back shortly with more serious matters at hand. We're waiting to find out if Chicago defensive tackle Tommie Harris will be active after a one-game suspension, and you also might be interested in the availability of Atlanta receiver Roddy White (concussion).
