Lions practice report: Three still out
By Michael Rothstein
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- James Ihedigbo's resting tour continued Tuesday, as the safety sat out his second straight practice for "rest," as he put it Monday after practice.
Meanwhile, Detroit Lions coach Jim Caldwell had said earlier that Ihedigbo was receiving treatment, typically meaning there is at least some undisclosed ailment going on. The Lions don't have to release an injury report until Thursday, so it'll be interesting to see if Ihedigbo returns to practice then.
Ihedigbo insisted he would be ready to go against the New York Giants for the season opener.
Safety Don Carey remains out with a hamstring issue and linebacker Kyle Van Noy was put on short-term injured reserve Tuesday afternoon, so he'll be out at least until the off week.
