Black and Blue all over: A streak at risk

There's only one game this weekend in the NFC North, and it might not be seen in many places.

As of Thursday morning, the Detroit Lions had about 6,000 tickets remaining for Sunday's game against Washington. That's a huge number of tickets to sell before the NFL's Thursday afternoon deadline to avoid a local television blackout, and there's no guarantee the tickets would move with the customary 24-hour extension.

The Lions have sold out 51 consecutive games, as Nicholas J. Cotsonika of the Detroit Free Press points out. That streak includes every game held at Ford Field since it opened in 2002.

We'll keep you updated throughout the day on this important issue.
