Rounding up significant roster moves around the NFC North:
- Chicago re-signed linebacker/special-teams coverage ace Darrell McClover in part to replenish its depth as Hunter Hillenmeyer recovers from a rib injury. Cornerback DeAngelo Smith was released to make room for McClover on the roster.
- Green Bay worked out free agent offensive tackle Levi Jones and five other offensive lineman Monday. But the only player the Packers added was guard Stanley Daniels, who was signed to the practice squad. I’m guessing the Jones workout was to build a scouting report in the event that a roster move needs to be made later this season.
- Minnesota released center Kory Lichtensteiger and promoted center Jon Cooper from the practice squad.
- Update: Detroit re-signed defensive tackle Chuck Darby and released cornerback Marcus McCauley, according to Tom Kowalksi of Mlive.com.
