TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Raheem Morris was visibly upset as he addressed the media after Thursday morning’s workout. Morris said he was upset by the death of former Hofstra coach Joe Gardi.
“He was a father figure for me,’’ Morris said. “He was one of the most influential people in my life. He was one of the guys who encouraged me to go into coaching. He’s always be a part of my life and a part of my family’s life.’’
Gardi recruited Morris to Hofstra as a defensive back out of New Jersey.
