No Disney trip for Bucs this year

Posted by ESPN.com's Pat Yasinskas

Very interesting development on the Bucs' front. Starting this summer, the Bucs no longer will hold training camp at Disney's Wide World of Sports. The Bucs had trained at the Orlando-area facility the past seven summers.

Instead, they'll train at their own practice facility in Tampa. That's been something of a trend in recent years with more and more teams deciding to train at their own facilities. The Falcons already do that and you might see the trend grow even more.

Some coaches prefer to have their teams sequestered at remote locations because they believe it helps players bond. But that also costs a lot of money and, in a down economy, there's plenty of logic in training at your own facility.
