TAMPA, Fla. -- As the rest of the world debates whether the 3-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers are for real, let’s turn to the coach of the reigning Super Bowl champions for his take.

New Orleans coach Sean Payton just did a conference call with the Tampa Bay media. Payton had some very high praise for Tampa Bay coach Raheem Morris and his staff. As Payton gets ready to face the Bucs on Sunday, he said he’s spotted something unique as he’s studied Tampa Bay.

“A lot of times, you can see attitude on film,’’ Payton said. “And I think you can see it with Tampa Bay.’’

Payton, considered by many to be one of the league’s best offensive coaches and at working with quarterbacks, also had high praise for Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman.

“He’s got good command and good poise,’’ Payton said. “So his personality is conducive to winning.’’
