TAMPA, Fla. – I just arrived at One Buccaneer Place and will be heading into interviews momentarily.
But I’ll throw you one quick note first. The Tampa Bay offensive line has been selected as the Madden Most Valuable Protectors of the Week. John Madden selects one offensive line each week during the season.
In Sunday’s victory against Seattle, the offensive line protected quarterback Josh Freeman as he threw for a career-high five touchdowns and helped clear the way for LeGarrette Blount to rush for 164 yards.
That all came despite the Bucs using some patchwork due to injuries on the offensive line. They started Donald Penn and Jeremy Trueblood at tackles, Jeremy Zuttah at center and rookie guards Derek Hardman and Ted Larsen.
