The NFC South made some history in the 2010 season and we didn’t even realize it until it was pointed out by the always-helpful Dan Berglund of Tampa Bay’s media relations staff.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints each finished with a 6-2 road record. No division ever had three teams with a road record better than 6-2 in the same season since realignment in 2002. But the NFC South had some company in the record-setting season.
The AFC East also had three teams -- the New England Patriots, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins -- go 6-2 on the road in 2010.
