As players across the NFC South get ready to head to training camp, it's time for a post about one who isn't.

 Morgan

Dan Morgan, who recently made our NFC South all-decade team, is where he belongs. Brad Thomas recently caught up with Morgan and has an update on one of the classiest guys to ever play in the NFC South. Morgan is in Charlotte with his wife and three children. He's operating a couple of restaurants and another business.

More importantly, he's not on the football field. Morgan retired in June after a comeback attempt with the New Orleans Saints. As I've said before, Morgan was a heck of a football player, who had some bad luck when it came to injuries. Playing again might have pushed that bad luck beyond its bounds.

Wrapping it up was the right call. Morgan still had a nice career. Now, he's only 30, he's safe and, most of all, he has a bright future.
