No CBA by Aug. 1, no London for Bucs

There’s one very interesting paragraph in the NFL’s official press release about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears playing in the Oct. 23 game in London.

“Should the current labor situation be unresolved by August 1, the game will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Buccaneers season-ticket holders will receive detailed ticket information from the club in the near future regarding team ticketing policy for this game.’’

While the league has said all along it expects there to be football this season and a labor agreement will be reached, this is at least an acknowledgment that contingency plans are being put in place.
