It's a mere formality at this point, but the Atlanta Falcons just made what they hope is their final comment on Michael Vick.

The team just issued a statement. It's not attributed specifically to owner Arthur Blank or anyone within the organization. It's simply labeled as a "statement from Atlanta Falcons regarding Michael Vick signing with the Philadelphia Eagles''.

Here's what the Falcons said:

"Michael is going to a first-class organization and will receive tremendous support from Eagles Chairman/CEO Jeffrey Lurie, Team President Joe Banner, Head Coach Andy Reid and Quarterback Donovan McNabb. Michael has been given a good opportunity to restart his career in the NFL, and we wish him well."
